The Sets

You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have "Two different sets".
Those who are going to start reading this thinking that its going to be one hell of a de-stressor are under a wrong illusion, and comes with a statutory warning...”Please read at your own menti-sental risk”.
When I first ever wrote with a writer’s spirit it’s was an essay that was to end with “…she had a smile on her face.”
I guess the ones from ICSE/ISC background will relate to such forms of essay writing...
After school the grueling slave driving machine that has another name to it NIFT, wrenched away all passion of doing anything apart from aimlessly think about our future as a struggling designers.
& of course the passion to write was also curbed by my “doctor’s handwriting”, thanks to a series of doctors in my family through generations…but now that I have a medium and sometime I might use it wisely..what say?
I generally do not have much opinion about things. “Things” would broadly cover socio-political matters. It doesn’t budge me at all. Why? Am I not a responsible citizen? Well I am, I pay my taxes on time, I do not litter, I follow traffic rules, I respect my neighbors, totally understand everyone’s democratic right of voicing their opinion and yes, not involved in any definitive criminal activity and I do vote.
Ok, stop.
Where am I exactly taking this?
I have met two sets of people.
Set A: They have an opinion about everything, they are loud and pompous. They make an effort to put posts that disguise them as political or social stirrers.
Well are they revolutionaries? A handful. Most of these acts are theatrical portrayals of “I know it all” to makeup for shaky self confidence, inferiority complex and lack of attention.
Set B: Nonchalant, moody, aloof, and their total lack of involvement comes across as an act of self-centeredness. They are not revolutionaries; don’t even remotely want to be. Does that mean they don’t care?
Of course they do...That’s why they spare the horror of over enthusiastic reaction to any issue. They believe in doing, not vocal practices.
I had once heard some one say “those who don’t have anything to say about themselves, discuss others”. Set A belongs to this category…
Set B is the one who has seen it all, have actually faced challenges in life, and would quietly do their job and walk out without creating a ruckus.
This blog is dedicated to my bunch that belongs to both of these; I respect them all as individuals.
But a friendly advise to Set A, do not look down on people who have refused to take part in the “revolutions” that you are trying to bring about.
They might have just gone a step further and quietly done something far credible that just a FB post.
